Henequen (Agave fourcroydes) is a fiber plant of the asparagus family (Asparagaceae), native to Mexico and Guatemala. It is an important leaf fiber and has been used since Pre-Columbian times.

Size: 17"W x 17"H with natural veggie tan straps. Made in the Merida, Mexico-Yucatan. Shoulder straps: 13" long, attached with metal grommets. It is very strong and can withstand a somewhat heavy load, but do not over-stuff, as the straps will give way.
