You see Sal de Gusano in places like Oaxaca a lot. The habit of salt and lime with your tequila or mezcal is famous but using Sal de Gusano takes things a step further. Along with the chiles and salt, you’ll find ground worms. You won’t taste them as worms so much as a sense of umami and we love the stuff. We think you will too once you get past the odd ingredient list.
Our Sal de Gusano is blended for us by the Bay Area's renowned Don Bugito, a company specializing in edible insects.
