Sour prickly pear snacks with an addictive flavor
Xoconostle are sour prickly pears. On their own, they add a delightful sour note to stews and salsas and are essential for the classic dish, Mole de Olla. Our partners in Mexico, Xoxoc, take these fruit and dry them and sweeten them slightly. The green box features dehydrated prickly pears and the purple box has fruit that has been cooked. Both are lightly sweetened with piloncillo, an unprocessed sugar cane product.
