When I was in Mexico at the beginning of the month, I was thinking about how I'd been interviewed by the Menu section of the mighty daily, El Universal. I hadn't heard anything and thought maybe they'd decided to kill the story. Noting that it was Thursday (the day Mexicans enjoy their food section), I went to a kiosk and there it was!
A huge three-page spread on Rancho Gordo and heirloom beans! Of course I love all the media attention but it's especially sweet coming from Mexico. It's obvious I love the country almost as much as my own and it's nice that my story is making even a small impact there.
You can imagine how happy I was!
